Life is slowly getting better. . .and trying to figure out where I am going to from here. Still miss my Obie sooo terribly. . .it's been what, almost 8 months, and it feels like yesterday. . he definitely left a huge hole in my heart. . .
the thought of hopefully puppies this summer helps. . Hoping to get one last litter out of my golden Girl. . .unfortunately I won't get my favorite colour(Racing stripes :)) but hopefully will get a litter equally as nice as her first one. The waiting list is decent(and yes Trish, you're up there), with performance and show homes waiting, unlike the first litter, funny that, since the pedigree is very similiar.
Hard part is, he's on the West coast LOL. . .my first attempt at chilled squigglies, I hope it works. I just don't feel comfy sending a girl across the country, especially one with her background, and then worry about her absorbing puppies on the way back. This litter is too damn important to me, and really, it's really not much more expensive than shipping her, which is what made the decision to do the chilled AI. Less stress on her, less stress on me(I hate flying dogs), and the stud dog owner is being just down right fantabulous. this is a do or die breeding with Touchet, if this doesn't happen, she'll be spayed and live the life of a spoilt rotten pet. She doesn't act her age at all, chasing(and catching) her tail, soliciting play, so here's hoping, lots of prayers and crossing of fingers.
Then onto Dei's litter, right now leaning towards Grins, tho I like his nephew Nico too. If DC Surya didn't have some of the same faults I want to fix on her, I'd go that way. . .I wish his sire ran, he's shown interest in LGRA, but none in plastic, which is where she lacks, and sure wish I'd been able to get one of Surya's half brothers :P There's another boy I like, but I don't want to go there, as I have problems with his co owner, even if he is lovely. . and i'm not willing to deal with the devil. . .BTDT.
And may have a lead on a cobreeding for Wings, which would tickle me pink. I like the pedigree(and she's not related to what I have either!0, the girl is equally nice, and her owner really likes Wingnuts. I truly was thinking with my situation that 'd never get pups out of him, but this may fix my problem .. I SOOOO hope so. .
off to work on my room again. . had flooding. . .we got that fixed, but now I have to put everythign back to where it belongs!
